How to print and assemble a binder page
Each page is eight printed tiles that go in the pockets around your card. On an extended-art page the tiles are one continuous illustration that carries the card's own artwork out into the surrounding pockets, so the scene lines up at the pocket edges. Your card sits in the ninth pocket and completes the page.
- Download the files from EtsyAfter checkout, Etsy shows the download links on the order page and emails them. You get the PDFs, the tile ZIPs and the guide.
- Pick the sizeMeasure a pocket on your binder page. Standard pockets take the 63 × 88 mm tiles (PDF page 1). Vault X and other oversized pockets take the 66 × 94 mm tiles (PDF page 2).
- Print at 100% scaleOpen the US Letter or A4 PDF and print at 100% or "actual size", never "fit to page", or the tiles come out small. Matte photo paper or heavy cardstock works best. Any print shop or photo lab can print the PNG tiles too.
- Cut along the tick marksEach tile has small crop ticks at its corners. A ruler and craft knife give the cleanest edges; scissors work fine.
- Load the pocketsSlide the eight tiles into the outer pockets in the order shown in the guide, then put your card in the center pocket. Sleeve the card as usual.
Tile sizes
Standard · 63 × 88 mm
Fits classic 9-pocket binder pages from Ultra Pro, Ultimate Guard, Dragon Shield and similar. Same size as a card.
Vault X · 66 × 94 mm
For Vault X side-load binders and other pages with oversized pockets. Both sizes come in every download.
Paper and printing tips
- Matte photo paper (around 200 gsm) or heavy matte cardstock gives the best result. Glossy paper shows pocket glare.
- Set the printer to the highest quality and to the paper type you loaded. Turn off any "scale to fit" or "borderless" option.
- Check the first sheet against a real card before cutting the rest: a standard tile should match the card's 63 × 88 mm.
- Photo labs and print shops can print the 300 DPI PNG tiles directly; ask for 4 × 6 or 5 × 7 prints and trim.
- Colors vary between monitors and printers. A slightly darker or warmer print is normal.
